Air Vent

Post by Peter76 » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:15 pm

Mrs Peter76 got into the Exige last week and managed to kick the passenger side air vent which was slightly open, breaking it. Anyone know the best place to get another without paying top dollar? Anyone have a second hand one in good condition that i could purchase? Will i have to bite the bullet and get one from Murrays?

Thanks jj. £17 is not too unreasonable. Did do a search but could find anything. Poor effort i guess!

Please elaborate on the sticky foam meatball. I'm curious? We have these double sided sticky foam pad things that are like double sided sticky tape but thicker and me and my mate swear by them. If we can't secure something on a ship - double sided sticky foam pads is usually the answer. Bit of running joke!!

There was "padding" on the vent I removed, I assume to stop rattles.....I put sticky foam on the new one (no padding with new one)......thus it was replaced like for like!
The facing around the vent/speaker was unscrewed and the rest was straight-forward.
