Ken,

Didn't see this before...

..you can charge the battery directly using those posts if you dont have a jump lead available to get into the car.

Take care,

Frank

Without sounding too paranoid can the above posts be edited to remove the bits about how to access the service port......I may be making a big deal over nothing but I'd prefer that this wasn't available on a public forum.
I have my reasons.

Not sure why? :?
Maybe there are people out there who would stoop to stealing the electricity from your battery. Scumbags.

Honestly, this makes no sense. With a quick google I found this same information on several other sites, as would any would be crim, if they didn't already know how to access the remote battery posts. Let's face it, the panels are not exactly attached with fasteners that require an engineering degree to work out how to remove. A bunch of well organised crims stole the bumper off Katie's 330D without cutting a single wire or setting off the alarm, even though you need access to the engine bay to do this I believe. I'll bet they didn't get that information from http://www.scottishbmws.com ...

Cheers,
Robin

Robin,
My thinking was that having the info in one less (obvious) place on the internet was a good thing, I realise that google/yahoo will prob give the same info but there is nothing I can do about that.
I made a simple request to the folk that had posted and explained some of my personal issues and what I had been told. After they had that info they edited their posts, that was all I was after.......as I said, I had my reasons.
