340r / Elise wiper blades

Post by ruadh08 » Tue Feb 24, 2009 11:07 am

Hi Guys,

Am trying to get the 340r through its MOT, but I have a 6” crack on the passenger side of the windscreen (Yes the new one!!!)

MOT guys are saying that with the standard wiper it would be a fail, but if I reduced the swept area of the screen with a shorter blade or arm, it would pass, as the technically the crack would not then be in the swept area.

Has anyone tried to put a shorter blade on a 340r or Elise/Exige before, if so what blade fits? Needing to lose about 4" .

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

No such luck mate - but you'd trailer the 340 anyway, so no excuses there :thumbsup

Paul
Spend £1.95 in Tesco's and try a 20" wiper arm and blade
I have just replace the Shaguar's (two different sizes) for less than £4

Sorted it now, managed to butcher a 17" rear wiper blade out of halfrauds onto the arm.

Ah, was just going to suggest cutting a bit off an old one as it is just for the MOT.
