I've never had an S1, so that means my advice is unlikely to be accurate, but.....
The clicking sounds like a flat battery?

Yea I'd go with a flat battery if it sounds like a woodpecker under your dash?

It sounds as if i have a woodpeckeer in the passenger side dash  , the car hadnt moved for a few days so i had it out for a run this afternoon, i parked it up and about 3 hours later went to move it and then it happened, it seems strange that it starts fine when its been sitting a few days..

How much is a battery for the Elise? its certainly worth a try as its putting me off using the car incase i get stranded with it playing up

Just tried it again this morning, the light was flashing as erp norm so pressed the big button but the lights just went haywire on the dash do it dosent have enough power to start the car, it was too dark last night to remove it to charge too.

It i use my other car to jumpstart it so you think it would charge enough on the run? i dont want to get to the run and turn the engine off and then have to wait on the AA man for the rest of the day
