Dirty Particulate filter (FALC)

Post by craigs135s » Fri Jun 12, 2009 9:37 pm

My MIL light has come on in my PUG 307 HDI. I have been told this is due to a blocked/Dirty particulate fillter. To fix this the steeler wants £600  . What cleaners are out there that i could use for this? :thumbsup

Cheers

You can get the PUG deler to do a regenaration on the filter. This onlays works if the filter is not to block.
If this works and the car is onlay used for short jurnays you will have the sanario veray soon.
You can not remove the filter as the ECU will detekt this and may ether restrikt eng power or shut down allto gither. :!:

According to our Skoda manual "a good thrash" is indeed the answer, this burns up the particles or summat.

Worth a try before parting with any cash?!

Thrashed the pants off it and its made no differance. :( . Looking at the link above it can be cleaned. It also says that there is a flued that needs to go into to it as well to keep it clean.
