Anti roll bar drop link A111C0063F

Post by DoubleA888 » Fri Jun 19, 2009 6:31 pm

Hi,

Mot today... I thought everything was ship shape, but no. Play in the drop link joints and emission problems. The lamda probe was changed and this sorted the emissions, but the garage wasn't able to source the drop link.

Does anyone know if this part is common to another car? I'm hoping to get one locally (Aberdeen), rather than waiting for one to come from the nearest lotus dealer.

Thanks, Angus

Think they will be specific to Lotus.
You can get them from Elise Parts.

If you order it from Murrays in Edinburgh they'll be able to send it up to Belmont on the Lang Stracht within a day or two free of charge and you can just pick it up from there.

The exact part may be lotus specific, however....

The BMW E39 five series drop links also fit. They are about a centimetre shorter.

You can get a pair off Ebay for about £20. That is what is fitted to mine and they work perfectly.

type in "e39 drop link" in the search and you will get a good choice.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

You could always cancel....

And the Ebay price is £20 a pair, not £30 each from `eliseparts.. or whatever MMC will charge..

Car in the garage waiting for parts and possible postal strike situation has forced a quick decision.

I had a look on ebay but the pictures of the ones that came up didn't look right, I didn't find the bmw ones.

I don't feel comfortable canceling my order, but thanks for your answers.
