Hi,
Sorry if I am repeating, but I'm looking for some advice on tyres for my S2 Exige. I currently have 048 Yokohamas, and need to replace the rear tyres. What options do I have? does anyone know about prices, where to get them, and the different tyre properties (i.e best grip, best wearing etc)?
Thanks

If you are keeping the A048s on the front then you will be wanting either A048s or Toyo R888s on the back. I just got my rear tyres changed yesterday by Ronnie at Wheelsaround
http://wheelsaround.com/ for £295 fitted (A048's). My last set of rears only lasted me between 3000-3500miles (with two trackdays).
I think the R888s are meant to be slightly harder wearing and cheaper than the A048s though believe the prices have went up recently. Im sure alot of people get the A048s in a medium-hard compound as they last longer.
Are you planning on doing any track days? If not the A048s (or 888s) are an expensive road tyre to have and not the best for standing water. You can get a full set of Toyo T1 Rs for near enough the same price as two rear A048s and will last alot longer and be better in the wet.

Hi Deany,
Thanks for the reply. I think I'll stick with the 048's. Do you know anywhere local, as I was hoping to go to Strathy Park tonight. just realised they are quite bald after yesterday

I use ronnie for Toyo R888's as I find they work better in the cold/wet and last longer.
