Robin has the best parts for the job, so It'd still be best if you see him. Otherwise, we can bodge. Are you leaving the buell here tonight? Iwill see if I can sort you a garage space.

Assuming we get it fixed then ill leave bike with you - dont worry about a garage or anything though - should be fine :thumbsup

Alternatively you take VX to mine and i run you home. Six and two threes.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

So near, and yet so far. :(

Had the Robin/McKean toe link in place last night only to discover/remember the latest spec toe links use M10 fine K-lock nuts and not the M10 K-locks that were on Donkey's car. I have one nut that will do, but it really needs a K-lock for the outer end to clear the caliper as the VX uses a spacer above as well as below the hub carrier. :|

Cheers to all who helped. :thumbsup

Been looking at this (quiet today at work) anway looking through the parts manual I found this.
toe.JPG
anyway it has 2 options for the tie rod, 1 like the s2 where it has balljoints with long threads (51) and 1 where the rod end has a threaded hole (9).

my thinking is I make a rod (EN19T methinks) and thread it for a set of standard off the shelf rose joints.

anyone see a reason that wouldn't work ?

oh and does anyone have any experience of tapping titanium alloys , do you need special taps ?
