Andy's mule arrived with the non aero one fitted to the front service compartment. Looked shoddy, but worked.
Should be plenty of space for it, just need some creative dremelling.

Pretty sure JJ had one on his S1 Exige.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).![]()

Seen a picture of 1 on an S2 but that has the lock in a different place. I have made a template and will see if I can get it to fit where I want after lunch.
They say you need a big plate round it for strength I may have to cheat with that one.

Just go 'proper shed stylee', holecutter through the rear clam behind the number plate and 'make like a vet' to manually open it. You can even hinge up the number plate(tail)...
Mule one did look a little shoddy...and illegal in Germany so we were told.

fitted my template at lunch and it looked not bad, I would have to bodgy the strengthining peice to get it to fit properly. Don't think that will be to much of a preoblem though.
As for fit it should be down to the time and effort in fitting it properly.
As for proper shed style , it has a bent engine cover so I can get my hand in

I am planning on making it flush fit before painting over it

They make flush fitting ones or ones that sit on top. The ones that sit on top look better.
And I don't think painting it will work too well to be honest.

I fitted that the day before we left for Stelvio back in 2006 - front bonnet catch cable seized up just at the worst time. I needed access to top up fluids etc so didn't have time to play nice, just drilled it out and slotted in an Autosave 'rally style' bonnet pin. Think I still have the other one in the garage if you want the pikey solution
