I changed a couple of tyres about 6 months ago. I've kept them as I thought I might get some track time out of them, but when I looked at them yesterday, the treads were covered with what looks like oil

. They were quite wet and it seemed to be ouzing out of rubber and you could wipe it off with your finger. They are Avon CR500 and had been store in the dark at room temperature.
Is this normal?

They were sweating at the thought of having to go on a very fast car

I don't know about a fast car, but you might be right about them sweating . . . . I put them in the sun and the warm weather seems to be evaporating off what ever it is and they look more normal now.
