Oil for Exige

Post by Tom » Thu Jul 27, 2006 10:58 am

Ed's broadband is off for a while so he wants me to ask what oil he needs to top up the engine. Knowing Ed, he has no idea what's in there at the moment, so any suggestions anyone??

Any good fully synthetic 5W40 should do.

Some are better than others, if you believe oilman (Opie oils)

TBH, you'll be fine though, until you start banging in sub-60 second laps of KH for 2 hours at a time.

There's a different oil speced for the yota engined cars though - K's run on either castrol RS (or edge as it is now called) or Mobile 1. Personally I run mobile 1 in winter and mobile 1 motorsport in summer as the relative viscosities in the different product give slightly better protection depening on the season.

I've got 5 litres of Silkolene 5W40 from Oilman, which reminds me, I should probably check my oil at some point
