As usual I've noticed a bit close to time that the MOT is due on the Elise.
So where do I go? Should I just take it to an MOT tester I've used before but stand over them to ensure no jacking mistakes. Or is it prudent to use a specialist who is more familiar with the cars? To that end do you know if SLS do MOTs?
I'd appreciate your opinions.

Cool, I phoned him this morning and got the answer phone. I'll try again during the day, he's obviously a busy guy keeping your fleet on the road.

I also use Ali for my MOT's on both cars, just need to either keep trying or just leave a message and he'll get back to you when he's not got a car over his head dripping gear oil down his arm

Here's an alternative if you can't get hold of Ali in time. Colin Brown in Broxburn has done my car for years and I believe he does other Elises as well.

I usually go to Longniddry garage. Guy that runs the place has owned a couple of Elises & it's close to the station to get the train back into town.

Thanks for the input. Cheers Gogs, thats really local so if SLS aren't able to fit me in I'll give them a ring.

Regent Motors in Linlithgow have been doing mine for a few years, and Jonathan Neale's Se7en for even longer.
Nothing special but reliable and "no questions asked" on some borderline things like windscreen chips etc. My car still has cat, etc, though, so can't comment on their view of emissions etc.

Booked in at SLS on Monday.
My Elise is standard so shouldn't have emissions issues......hopfully.

I'm on West Main Street near the fire station. I've seen your red VX passing my house a few times
