K series MIL light on S2 111S

My car stalled the other day and I noticed the MIL light was on . Started the engine and all was fine . I now notice when I turn the ignition on the MIL light comes on and goes out when I start the engine . I dont recall seeing the MIL light come on in the last 7k miles but I may just be blind . Is this normal or is it a problem has been logged ?

S1's don't have a MIL light the same as S2's (although we do have an engine warning light) However, it does light when you start, as do a variety of other lights. Is it the MIL alone, or with the oil pressure light and (something else I've forgotten)?

If it's a MIL issue, it stays on... AFAIK

All the lights come on initially then go out I am left with the oil pressure light , alternator light and MIL light . Once started they all go out . Maybe I am going mad and it was there all along.

just checked mine - just as described.

Ignition On : All warning lights on, after a few secs they all extinguish except Alternator, Oil Press, MIL, Seat belt warning.

All then extinguish at start-up

LOL It was a year yesterday that I bought the car . Looks like its going to be another year of paranoia Thanks for that .
