Clamshell removal. S1. Screen replacement

Post by Victor Meldrew » Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:12 pm

Rather than messing around with MMC or hauling it down to Newcastle I think I am going to have a go at taking the front clam off myself.

The screen was cracked at Mexitowers and as the MOT is due soon, best get it changed.

I have the driving light to change out as well. Also going to re-spray the tow eye bar.

I still have to phone Autoglass and get them to order one. Anyone fancy coming along to give me a hand taking the clam off. Not sure of the date yet.

Anyone who has any top tips or special tools then please let me know
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

If I'm about I'll shoot over. Piece o piss really, nothing major to watch for - apart from remembering where the spacers came from. 8)

Super glue the shims/ spacers... saves mucking about as much.

If I'm still here I'll pop round for a cup o' tea
