Evening chaps
Just off the phone with MMC. Apparently the MIL light is being caused by a faulty Oxygen sensor now....anyway, they don't have one and I'm taking the car off down south tomorrow.
Am I okay to run the car with this fault? All it seems to effect is idling, which is rougher than a badgers bits. But i do expect to put the best bit of 1k miles on it and a Walshy Day

Are they the same as S1 sensors? Lawrence has one IIRC, I replaced it when I nicked his last one.
Do you have a cat on?

I've no idea, its the yota engine, so not sure. Wonder if this is the route of the MIL light issues all along?

Ecu's disregard lambda readings at idle and full throttle.
It also depends which voltage it's jammed faulty on. With the bother you've had with lotus... i wouldn't be giving them any reason to nail you. It wont be the best for the engine driving with a faulty 02 sensor

There's 2 on the later cars fore and aft of the cat
very much doubt the S1 type fit either of the Toyota ones

I'm surprised they didn't have one in stock because they ordered one for my car and didn't fit it. It was the post cat sensor which was lighting the MIL intermittently. It had stayed off for a few weeks so I said don't bother messing with it (I thought they would be pushed for time as they were also fixing the A/C but turned out didn't have the parts for that...).
Anyway, I drive off the forecourt at MMC and bing, the MIL light back on! Third time that's happened to me...

It was idling pretty roughly from the moment I collected it, so I'm a touch pissed off.
Anyway, it did last weekend okay, so here's hoping its up for another session.
Its drives fine, just sometimes goes rough at idle

Do you really want to risk driving with another MIL light problem? Surely MMC can get in touch with a few of the dealers down south to see if they have any and can fit it when you're down!?

True Si, but they are telling me this is the reason for the MIL light.
Walshy day Friday, and bloody busy tomorrow.
Its seemed perfect on the way home so hopefully its intermittent at least for the weekend. MMC can have it for 2.5 weeks next Friday !
