s2 Exige nitrons

Post by automek » Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:11 pm

First of all my apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. I have looked a number of times and cant find anything specific. Would a set of nitron nsr pro shocks and springs from an Exige s2 fit a k series Elise s2? I have looked at both cars with wheels off and I cant see any difference between the two in terms of the standard bilstiens with eibach springs. However id hate to buy these and find the length is marginally longer or shorter? I hate asking stupid questions so if this is one of them feel free to correct me! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Andrew

The rears are considerably longer than K series cars but there are brackets available to allow fitment.

If you're looking at the ones on SELOC they look a bit overpriced to me.

The exige units are a couple of inches longer overall than the K car's. Eliseparts do a kit to fit the s2 exige dampers on a k (of course) S1; there's a slight difference between s1 and s2 k series suspension lengths at the rear, so not sure if these brackets will do. Best to drop Geary at eliseparts.com an email.

It was those I was looking to buy but wasn’t a 100% sure on fitment. I can see clear differences in the rear sub frames between the s2 k series Elise and s2 Exige. I could be wrong but the front chassis looks the same on both cars? The rear sub frames being different would make me think as you said that the lengths are different I didn’t measure to confirm. I figured the bracket mounting point to the car would be the same on both cars but the length and were the shocks mount would vary deepening on model? thanks very much for the info as I said ive been looking for a what fits what guide but haven’t came across anything yet!
