Nlc Audi central locking

Post by kerryxeg » Fri Aug 03, 2012 7:40 pm

Given the stolen cars thread I was a bit spooked when I couldn't unlock the car after returning with the shopping. It unlocked with the key. And starts etc, but will not lock or unlock on the fob. Its the same result with both keys. When you press the button, there is a faint noise in the car but no action. Manual locking or unlocking does all doors. Any ideas or should I start hunting for a jammer /tracker. It's a b8 model

Sounds odd. Do the lights flash etc when you use the fob? Does the immobiliser work regardless of fob action a la Elise ?

You got a dog ?

No dog in the car and the internal sensor had not been disarmed. The lights don't flash with the fob or the key. But it does lock with the key and arms the alarm. I also checked all doors were shut ok which was the case.

Think you missed the point - the dog was a back- up security measure

Ahhhh, well yes then, but she'd do more damage. I'll just block the drive in case.

Now fixed by audi, so i'll be removing the flame thrower this weekend. Using the key with the integrated lock and alarm system was a PIA.

A repair was required to the controller, and they also upgraded the software. Thankfully all covered in the warantee despite just running out.

There is something to be said for lotus simplicity.

Glad you got the locking fixed. I am still waiting to get my car back from the repairers after it was stolen. Still no idea as to how they got in and got it started. Police have lost interest after they caught the guy who stole it. Got it back Saturday but had to return it again after a litany of issues appeared once I got it home. Should get it back on Friday 31st and trade it in Sunday 02 Sept....Oh the joys....
