Auto Gearbox landcruisers

Post by r10crw » Sat Aug 25, 2012 10:05 am

Anyone on here know anything about auto boxes or know anyone who does? Ive asked in the usual places so just waiting for replies but thought Id test SE anyway.

Long story short my Auto Landcruiser is starting to get the better of me. Box failed because of a disconnected cable so was easily diagnosed. So got hold of a second hand box which just about killed me in fitting, these things are heavy. Now 200 miles later its packed up!!

Anyone know of specialists in Scotland or do I need to head south? There used to be a guy in Aberdeen centre but he moved down south.
Hairdresser at heart.

Mate had an issue with his BMW X5 Alpina's gearbox and think it was taken down south.

Seeing him tonight so will ask him and let you know.

Sorry it took so long. Mate said it was Midland Auto transmissions. He says the X5 has been running great since.
