will this fit?
Just spotted this thread, yes it will fit. The s2 manifold (Like that one) is better constructed than the original ones and will fit your existing cat/CRP. Still not great but cheap all the same. You will have to change the manifold and flexi though, you will not be able to mix and match with older S1 stuff. The older flexi has 4 bolts this one has 6.
It even has a lambda sensor in it. Bargin, if you need an new flexi.

its off a std S2 vvc and is a big improvement over the std S1 with the four stud fixing , it has a bigger bore and should not have clag but a far cleaner weld /larger bore and mounts for the later /cheaper heat sheild the mgtf 6 stud pipe/manifolf also fits but you have to move the pipe bracketShug wrote:He's talking out of his ar$ehole when he says that's off a 190. 190's have a 4-2-1 (Janspeed, I think) That's a bog standard mild steel clagged up piece of shyte....GregR wrote:that's what I thought mate... almost too good an opportunity to miss![]()

Next instalment!
Was thinking along the same lines as you Richard and had come to the conclusion that it must be the Lambda but since I had Gregs cat sitting waiting I slotted it on last night.
When I had a look at mine it turned out to be totally Fecked, the matrix was sitting on it’s side in the cylinder rather than being properly mounted and showing its full face to the inlet and outlet sides. I’m slightly confused about how that can have happened, either it was poorly put together when new and the constant mechanical shock of an above averagely bumpy car worked it loose over time or the previous owner of the car de-cated it then used the cat as a rugby ball between MOT’s.
Anyway, I’m relatively confident that it will now pass with the assistance of GregR’s cat and I guess I’m in the market for a de-cat pipe to keep me going.
Should hear later in the day

Yup Rich, I recall a friend gettting his RS2000 broom handled for a cheap increase in horsepower!RICHARDHUMBLE wrote:Cool! Good news!
I have heared of people pushing a broom handle through them to increase the flow, god knows what has happened to yours, enjoy the extra horsepower!

Graham, there's loads of decat pipes on PH and Selc*ck at the mo, so you should have no probs getting hold of one
