Evora S.......p..o..w..e..r

Post by anthonyyule » Thu Jun 27, 2013 2:15 pm

Hi there,

OK - so I have resisted the urge to even whisper the words,... but already I'm looking for a bit more power. Or,... more I am thinking that the engine must be capable of something more, and I am interested in trying to unlock its potential.

Having said all of that - there dosen't appear to be a huge amount of options out there for.... anything. The US appears to have some tuning kits available, and in mainland Europe there are bits and bobs - but tuning (either individually through filters/ maps/ exhausts or charger mod's) appears to be thin on the ground - as does any sort of "library" of common mods and 'what to fit first and how'.

So - does anyone here have any advice? - or any idea where I could usefully go and look?

I have a factory tour at Hethel on Wednesday and I'm going to ask the question there too - and I'm really hoping that someone says "yes, we can do that" before leading me into a glistening white, surgically clean tech room filled with amazing one-off Evora S prototype engine parts,......but alas I feel this will remain a dream in my head :shock:

I've started started off with the full 2Bular Decat manifold, sports cat and exhaust. Next step will be a remap.

After that perhaps the BOE CAI.

I think the gearbox is the weakest link, anything above 400bhp is pushing it.

Not my domain, but I believe exhaust, CAI, and re-map should give you towards 400hp.

Graeme will certainly know.

ps:- 390hp but a bit pricey. http://www.komo-tec.com/LOTUS-Evora/Pow ... ::669.html

I guess being a non-chargecooled SC that running a smaller pulley and upping the boost a little is a no go? As above, heard the exhaust is a bit of a restriction, specifically the manifolds with integrated pre-cats.
