Exige S shocks

Post by KennyT » Sat Sep 07, 2013 9:50 am

Looking for some help please, I have my Exige in Paris and a rear shock has just started leaking.
Since I am not close to our friendly dealer I am looking for a DIY fix ahead of my Spa and Nürburgring trip next month so probably a full unit straight changeout.

I have non adjustable Bilsteins (2007 Exige S), but are these the same as other S2 Bilsteins, shocks and springs?
Dan22h has a single rear available here which would be ideal for me, if it is the correct one:

Thanks in advance,

Kenny

I'm pretty sure they're different on the S1 and S2. If you have a look on deroure.com you'll see the parts diagram for both and be able to compare part numbers

An S1 with Billies fitted will be from an S2, but the Yoda engined cars use different parts, so it's unlikely to fit.

My suggestion would be to send them off to Bilstien to get it refurbed. They will prob say it will take 5 days, but 10 is more realistic from my experience.
