Bonding

Post by jimbo » Sun May 04, 2014 2:57 pm

What's best for bonding the engine lid mesh vents in place? Just finished shaping a replacement after one of mine blew out that day  , gonna respray all 4 and then pop them back in, but what with?

Cheers

Does tiger seal go off at all? I had an old tube that I'd never opened, but even with a cartridge gun It wouldn't come out of the tube

Have had the same with tubes that have been sitting in the cupboard for months. Now I just buy it when I need it. Most car shops have it, get mine form Autoparts in Inverurie.

Try cutting the tube open, there might be some stuff in the middle that hasn't set.

Even available on Amazon these days. :) Have to buy a tube for each job in the end as it goes off in the tube once opened. You rarely need that much of it either.
