Thanks a million as ever to Obi Wan Hoy for use of workshop and, em, his superlative car spannering skills to do the work to replace them today. I kinda worked the ramp, turned a few nuts and sprayed copious amounts of WD40 all over the place while he did the difficult bits
Steering wheel now at 30 degrees to normal (wee bit of an exaggeration) so trip to our friends at CLCM next week for full tracking adjustment. But at least I can drive in the rain again!
For info, the procedure for replacing these things is fiddly but better understood by both Lawrence and I having done it twice now. If anyone needs guidance, just shout.
