well i went to take the car out the garage today and when going into reverse....guess what, the camera worked clear as day, I'm guessing it was maybe a bit of water in it which has dried out

Stewart what part of the evora is it where you think the waters running into which may have caused this ? will it be the front grills on the bonnet

Surely it will be at the camera itself, water running from the boot channel? Unless you manage to seal it it will almost certainly give out eventually so your e-bay purchase won't be wasted, just not needed straight away.

The Evora may have some entertaining water ingress routes. Particularly at the rear. Mine has been in at Murray for some pretty detailed diagnosis. Rained hard this weekend so will be able to check results in the morning :-)

ooohh didnt know you could do that - I really havent worked out how the Alpine unit works yet- I ve (just) got enough understanding to do what I need it to but not invested any time in seeing what else it can do

Any pointers for areas to check on the Evora for water ingress? The other week the car had light condensation inside which was slow to clear and appeared again when the air con was off (10 degrees C and no rain). Carpets feel dry. When you put the door windows down and up they are wet even when the car is dry which is a bit strange.

There's a harness runs down the front driver side of the engine bay. If rain leaks in it can run down then "wick" its way into rear seat cushion.

I also wonder if mine has some ingress under windscreen or front svc compartment, to driver side mat. But not conclusive.
