K Series Oil Change

Post by Graham C » Mon Sep 14, 2015 8:18 pm

Hi guys,

Looking to change to oil in my S2 sport 135R. It's just the usual 1.8 K series unit. I can't find any detail telling me how much oil it will take to refill the engine once it's drained. Do any of you know??

Thanks,

Graham

Think it's circa 5l - maybe 5.5 off the top of my head

Usually between 4 and 4.5 Litres for a refill. I'd choose an oil that comes in 5L cans so you've got a bit left for top-ups. ;)

Yup - Mac, your memory is confusing you as you used to get Mobil1 Motorsport in 4l cans (thinking it'd be 5L), fill up and swear when you needed to go back to Halfrauds for another half litre! Especially as they'd never have the litre top ups, so you'd end up buying another 4 :D

Worth checking what comes out. Cocked that up before myself and overfilled. :-)

If oil doesn't come out, seek help. Fast.
