Connector doo dahs for K Series coversion

Post by gambler » Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:45 am

I am looking for a connector, the one missing out of the picture. Think it connects the VVC engine to the emerald via the conversion loom. It will save having to cut the whole loom. Does anyone have one kicking about ?

DDtB probably has one in his ever increasing pile of used K Series engines lying in the back of his garage.

Should be able to get one off any standard EU3 rover engined car.

Have a google or look on eBay as I'm sure I came across places selling them as flying looms...

Even if you get the connector, you'll also need all the inserts and a crimping tool.

If you're keeping the Emerald it would actually be easier just to crimp the wires into the Emerald connector (available from Emerald, amongst others).

The missing connector is the vehicle loom connector - it connects stuff like the ignition, rev counter, temperature gauge, fuel pump, fan(s), etc.

Cheers,
