Post by Cawdors1 » Sun Nov 15, 2015 12:18 pm

Not to everyone's likes I know but...I like them. Been on a couple of days now and look great imo.... :D Also just recovering the knackerd old sill pad covers, bit of a task but the first ones done n looking great. Any advice on what is best to remove n clean up the sill before I refit them? Lots of old tape marks, glue n muck....thanx Jon

Scoops look good. It was the 1st mod I did with my previous s1 Exige
Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Wanted: Train.

I was always in 2 minds about fitting these to my old car but decided to keep the original lines, they do look great mind! Head to Tesco and get a Flash Magic Sponge for the tub.... Halfords do a spray for removing graphics residue if that doesn't work but I'd try the sponge first before putting chemicals on it :thumbsup

Elise parts has the chat "30% more air into the side air ducts keeping the engine bay temperatures to a reasonable level. As cold air is denser than the warm underhood temperature it helps to increase BHP too."

Did you notice any difference when you put them on?

I have bigger scoops on my s1 and I noticed a difference in engine temp, not by much and no difference in power.

Hard to tell re power as the car is pretty quick with the mods already fitted, engine temps will have to measure....I imagine for track days etc they would really help but on your average road trip maybe more a style thing....Jon
