Has anyone done their heater resistor pack on a S2 and has any pointers where I'm going wrong?
I'm in the midst of doing mine but I'm drawing a blank at getting the heater unit out. Clam off, new stainless tow post in with no bother but there is just too much stuff in the space to get the heater unit to move at all. I have removed the braket off the top and unclamped the two bits but I can't seem to get any further the movement is very limited.
Cheers

What model S2 do you have? I understand if with air-con the pipes can make it even more awkward. I did the whole thing through the access panel and was a bu%%er of a job ( non air con). There is a good write up on here to follow which I used. Think it was by JohnCam. Have a search.
Otherwise it is either just as tight as mine was and was resolved by little 1/4 inch movements back and forth until I got it turned and out. Or, my old one was badly corroded underneath as they effectively sit in any pooled water in there so might just be seized. No harm in giving it a whack as its for the bin anyway.

It's non air con. Jesus that sounds tedious. I think I've got it so that just the brake line is left in the way, just debating weather or not to take it out and bleed the breaks, or persist as it is. but I'm reluctant to do this as they were done a month ago at the service.
Found the thread and a better picture seems you can bend the brake line out of the way, I'll give that a bash.

Hi
I did this on mine a couple of years back - also S2 non air con. Yes it's an arse of a job - the trick is to work out which way to rotate the blower fan so it'll lift out. I didn't have to move any brake hoses - there were some electrical connectors in the way which didn't help, but got round them eventually.
And then have spare screwdrivers to hand - I broke two decent posidrives before I could get the rusted screws on the resistor pack to shift.
