Rear sub-frame.

Anybody know if the S2 rear subframe is the same as the S1's?

I think it's unlikely they are exactly the same.

Phone John (parts) at MMC and get him to compare part numbers ...

Just compared the photo of mine with the clam off to the one on eBay.

They are in fact different.

Only a hunch, but when the S2 came out I thought I read that the subframe was modded a bit because it shared some DNA with the VX's, which was adapted to enable the Vauxhall engine to fit. And I would not be at all surprised if an S2.5 frame was different again, to squeeze the Toyota lump into it.

What's up Tut, is your rear subframe giving you trouble again? ;-)

no probs at the moment with either of them Campbell, but never sure what is going to happen to N2 TUT when it sees a parking meter....... <BG>
