S2 Exige Battery Cover

Post by scottyf » Mon Oct 30, 2006 1:36 pm

hey peeps, been rediculously busy with work recently so car hasnt been getting much use....Result duff battery. :(

I want to install a permanent set of leads for a battery conditioner while the car isnt being used. But can someone tell me how the battery cover in the boot comes off. Ive only had a quick root a round, but cant fathom how it comes off.
Can anyone shed any light?

Cheers ma dears.

With mine its, lift up the bottom, pull and twist clockwise.

although dezzys had some poppers holding the carpet and cover to the floor. mine does not have those. cheers Ed

Yup, wot he says. You need to lift the carpet up.

I had no idea how to get it off . . . Ed's "just yank the damn thing off" approach worked! :D

It is one of those tricky things that seems impossible when you first try but is really quite simple with the carpet up as the others say.

Very true. You'd be amazed at waht you find lurking in that battery cover---locking wheel nuts bolts for one!
