Emerald in an S2 ...

Post by robin » Mon Nov 06, 2006 8:54 am

Folks,

Looking at the wiring diagram for the S2, the wheel speed sensor feeds the ECU and the ECU feeds the stack with the output.

When wiring up an S2 for use with the emerald, does anyone know what happens to this signal? Dan??

Cheers,
Robin

Robin,

You have to have an Emerald specifically for an S2 I believe to support the speedo signal and also the water temperature for the dash.

If you have an S2 Emerald I have wiring diagram for it somewhere.

I'll see if I can dig it out.

Robin

Presume that you realise that you need a plug adaptor to use the S1 Emerald on an S2?

Had email from Karl this morning confirming what you write, Dan - will probably buy one new for the moment and resell it later should my "stealth ecu project" ever come to fruition (it'll have to be a long cold and dark winter!).

Do you sell them from stock, or just get people to order from Emerald - I don't care where I order from, but if you have one in Newcastle I might just come and get it ...

Cheers,
Roin

It's hardware and firmware mod but essentially the same unit. Problem is I'm booked for OP at the end of next week and I really need engine running before then - if I wait for yours, then ship it to Emerald to be modified then get it back, I will miss out on OP.

I'm sure you won't have a problem shifting yours once you no longer need it ...

Cheers,
Robin
