It's undoubtedly a more extreme cam though with much more inlet timing and a bit more valve lift.
Thanks
That was probably the basis of how it was explained to me, as in it was a bit more extreme, had a bit more lift but not really anything ridiculous so was a good choice. I believe there were a few folk looking to do something similar to me but ListerBell were struggling to get any great communication with the people at Piper (that was pre covid, never mind during it) where as AH Motorsport were really helpful and responsive.

I recently fitted a stage 2 cam & uprated valve springs to my NA S2 Exige.
It’s not a pipercam - but equivalent to the 285 one.
I used a Toyota racing Specialist down in Scnuthorpe. He knows the 2ZZ engine inside out.
(Se7en Motorsport) He gets his own cams made for his race cars he builds & it worked out a lot cheaper.
The cam is awesome - lumpy tick over - extra 20bhp in the mid range - 3,000 to 6,000 you can feel it & then the cam change kicks in.
Great - however, the compromise is driving it slowly, in traffic at 20mph. It’s very jerky.
Sometimes I just pop it into neutral and free wheel.
As soon as you accelerate it’s fine. The car wants to go.
Someone said to change the ecu and remap it
But Paul @ Craig Moncrieff’s told me that wouldn’t cure it as it’s mechanical
I’ll try and post a video of it

Thanks, a video would be good.
Mine is getting remapped at the moment and they did say a compromise for getting what I wanted would be a bit of low speed subtlety in driving.

And you probably can have it. Since you have the “right” 220 engine in your car
