Bravo Neil.

I will probably need to do one of these soon. My 7 year old cable is past its best! Fancy posting the method?

If your old cable is seized rather than snapped then you need to actually replace the cable which means removing the speaker pod to gain access and possible getting the WMD on the old cable end ;-)

The rest is trivial - runs over wheel arch liner and into boot space - attach to catch, job done.

Cheers,
Robin

Cable still running OK, but increasing amount of corrosion building up around toggle handle at drivers door end. Just thinking of replacing as preventative (I often squirt some GT85 into it to keep running smoothly, and "work it a bit" to clean off some rust).

Def don't want the FD "customer not present" manoeuvre to have to be performed to open the boot when it seizes or lets go altogether ;-)
