Fog / hazard light switches

My fog light switch jammed in the on position on the Hogmany run to Braemar, the hazard switch had also been tempramental for a while to.

So I thought I'd get a couple of new swtiches from Elise parts etc, well at £108 each I decided to see if I could fix them meyself. Turned out an easy job to dismantle them, clean everything and reassemble, definately worth giving it ago before replacing.

So that's £200 beer money for this years Frolic

Worth mentioning one type is easy to take an apart (I think the TWR ones) and the others disassemble themselves into 20 pieces and are almost impossible to put back together.

Contact cleaner and compressed air works wonders without taking them apart

Difficult to get used. My hazard had lost the clips that retain it. I found a used one last year but still needed to take it apart to make it work from the two switches I had.

I predict a mass break-in to Car Breakers Yards across Scotland to pilfer 205 dashboards...

I think it might be easier picking 6 numbers for the lottery than finding a 205 these days
