He didn't no.

He had all the plugs out so if there was water in there it's now in the bores :damnfunny

Good news! She lives! :mrgreen:

Did a bit of basic (all I'm able to do) autosparking - AA man said there was a weak spark, replace the plugs but I thought a weak spark would suggest further up the line so took the dizzy cap off, cleaned the 4 connectors and the rotor arm, skooshed with WD-40, all back together and bosh, she fired.
Have plugs on order, will get a new dizzy cap and rotor arm and hopefully that'll do it.

All relatively inexpensive 8)

The caps can be an issue ...can get dampness inside.

Beware, the lead to the coil is a bitch to remove and refit. A bit of skin loss from above or easier access from underneath with under tray removed.

New plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm fitted.

Now runs much smoother, got it up to temp and it's just much cleaner and less coughy (I thought this was a Sport 160 trait) around town.
