JJs new tyres

Post by ExigeKen » Sat Nov 11, 2006 5:43 pm

Hi JJ,

Good to meet you today.

I would love to hear how you get on with the 39s on your Exige as I struggled through the winter last year with my 48s and also to see if they last longer :?:

Cheers,

Ken.

Hi Ken,

Nice to meet you today also. So far, I have only driven home, but it was good to get a back-to-back comparison of them on waterlogged motorways. All I can say so far, is there were no ring-clenching moments on the way home, but a few on the way up  :D .

I spoke to kevin (kayfur on here) today and he runs the 39s and rates them highly in both wet and dry, but did say they are not as good as 48s on a dry track, but great in wet on road / track. I think from what I read over the last couple of days on various forums, a lot of why more people dont use them is down to cost (eliseparts sell them at £625 a set plus fitting, wheelsaround a wee bit less  )

After the drive home, I am happy to drive through the winter on them. Cost is worthwhile if it means feeling safe in my opinion.
