Boot Leaking
Boot Leaking
Noticed the carpets are damp in the boot. car is garaged every night but is outside all day. With all the recent rain it's not surprising. Any idea on a fix, can I adjust the engine cover to get a better seal? How do you adjust?
Without looking take it there is adjustment on the bolts attaching the striker pin/plate to the car?simon wrote:Undo the striker pin in the engine compartment, move it down a little, tighten it up and close boot. That should pull the boot in a little tighter though it might mean it isn't quite flush against the rear clam anymore.

Mine's exactly the same. Have tried adjusting but as soon as there's a cloud in the sky the boot still fills up.
Have now decided this is a 'feature'. Couple of goldfish in there and job's a good'un.
