I believe so. The most important thing (allegedly) is to buy from somewhere that is always busy, that way you know that the petrol is not sitting around in the tanks for ages.

Supermarkets use the same fuel as everywhere else, it all comes from Grangemouth (apart from V-Power, Tesco 99 and the like). The only difference is most supermarkets wont have any additives that the big chains use.

I have heard some horror stories as well but that was in the early days of supermarkets selling fuel. You still got the odd story about some halfwit on the nightshift dumping 6000 litres of diesel into the UL tank though. If you start chucking clouds of smoke ot the back and splutter to a halt 5 yards out of the garage, you will know to check your fuel. :wink:
