Copaslip on wheel nuts is a bad idea, not because they come loose, but because they can be easily overtightened (compounding the problem). The heating cycles experienced by the wheels and bolts (through braking) are enough to lock the nuts so tight that either they can't be loosened unless with an air gun, or they will shear. It's better if you just clean the threads and tighten them to the specified torque.
