Creaky roll-bar cover

Hi all,
Does anyone have any good tips for reducing the creaking/squeaking of the roll bar cover on an S2? (111R).
Had a go the other night and improved it slightly by hosing up underneath it with silicon/rubber lube but its still annoying me. Problem is the rubber weather strip that runs round the door apertures runs right over the top of the roll-bar cover without a break, so its not easy to remove the cover.

Anyone else ever tried to deal with this?
