VVC Timing Belt

Post by georgeg33 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 4:46 pm

Planned a precautionary belt change before Saturday but am struggling to source them in Edinburgh.
Can anyone suggest a local supplier (MMC on backorder !) or provide part numbers?

Thanks

George

PTP will have one dispatched before the weekend if you order now - Eliseparts will probably be the same.

A Rover dealer...

I used to use the one in Dundee, very good stock of odd parts. They tend to be Kia dealerships now so get googling!!

Most motor factors will carry a part that will work - I find that Pentland Components in Edinburgh (round the corner from MMC) are a pretty good source of most things K-series.

Thanks Guys, I'll phone round a few places tomorrow.

mac - Eliseparts don't have the rear belt, will try PTP.
Richard - Andrew Page in Preston have one!
Robin - Garage were told their supplier (Pentland) don't have the front belt and can't get one till June

Richard
Thanks for the offer but no longer necessary (Andrew Page are motor factors in Preston btw).

Had an awayday to Newcastle at very short notice.
Quick blast down the A68, Dan at Jude Performance did the business, back home for tea and the new brakes are bedded in as well. Thats at least three carrots for the price of one !

Thanks again to Dan for fitting me in at short notice, and also to the SE members whose previous postings/recommendations lead me there.

George
