Was fitting a CG lock tonight (thanks timmsky!) and noticed that there's a crack right across the plastic bit of my seat belt buckle. The bit of plastic that holds the protruding metal clip. It still feels safe and secure at the moment, although I obviously need to get this sorted as I don't want to drive with a possibly faulty seat belt, but have two questions first:
1) Do you think they'll fix this under warranty? I have no idea how it got cracked.

It could have been like that since I got it for all I know . . .
2) Can they just replace the buckle or will I need a whole new seat belt? Any idea how much that might cost if I can't get it under warranty?
Cheers,
D

If your belts are the same as mine I have a couple knocking about here. As will anyone else with harnesses probably.

Cheers Rich. Will try MMC first for warranty claim, then give you a shout if they won't do it.

You went wrong there... Ed fitted my CG-Lock in a 'demonstration' when I bought it off him. I just left it in situ..
I have no signature.

They are S1 belts though, dunno if they are the same...
Yours for the postage (I'm pretty sure they are all stitched together!)

Called MMC. Should be able to fix under warranty as they did another one recently. Will need to send them photos so they can pass onto Lotus though.
Confirmed with them that I'm not at risk though, as the belt itself is attached to the metal buckle and the plastic bit is just a casing. The belt therefore still works safely without the plastic bit.
