In addition to S1 to S2 suspension upgrade, overkill or useful (road car)?

Got one fitted to Mandy's S2.

Made a great difference to the car when running 48's/Nitrons & on track.

For road I'm not so sure though.

Very much worth waiting to see if you have a problem before attempting to fix it.

I would only say bolt one on if you're having a mahoosive oversteer problem or you have no confidence in the turn-in (after first making sure every single part of the steering & suspension system is working properly)

Pretty much a track use item, unless your style really demands it.

Leave it for now, would be my advice, until you figure out if you need it.

It was just a thought seeing as the rest of the suspension is going to be upgraded/uprated. I wondered if it was worth doing at the same time. Maybe overkill on a road car?!

Like I say, it's a fix for a problem that may very well never show itself on the road. Depends on how it's driven (ie, deep on the brakes into the corner and squaring it off, or braking softer and carrying more mid corner speed) It's less of a black/white "this is better than that" decision than upgrading the suspension.

One for later, if it's necessary - I've never felt mine needed it and I'm on Nitrons with 180+ bhp.

I would say braking softer and more mid-corner speed. How close is the S2 rates to S1 LSS? They use a motorsport ARB to reduce roll?!

Driven a few S1s - some with Nitrons - other with the S2 kit.

TBH never noticed either of them requiring an up-speced ARB on the road. Even the S2 on the road doesn't need it improving.

I only fitted one to the S2 after fitting Nitrons & A048s and even then it was only required for trackwork.
