there was a thread on seloc that reported some breakages of these dampers. Mark Anderson, runs an exige, and is a chassis engineer with nisssan, isnt overly impressed with them, so that is a good enough reason for me to disregard them.

If you have an S1 then the S2 kit is a good upgrade for road use. If your wanting track spec dampers then nitrons are good kit for the cash. I believe they have a cheaper damper coming out called the racing red which might be worth a punt

Racing Red will be released in a couple months from now, but will not be branded Nitron.

These will be positioned between the original dampers and proper Nitrons, they will be adjustable though :)

Racing Red, Nitron, Billstein and Koni are all Monotube dampers where Gaz, Spax and former Leda where twintube dampers. The big advantages of monotube dampers are:
They can be fitted inverted (less unsprung weight)
The piston diameter is much bigger, so the damper can be set up much more progressively.

The last point massively improves the ride quality. IMHO twintube are for the maxpower brigade, monotube is what you buy when you want to improve suspension :)
