Good on you guys!
I've been running the new relay and a citroen wash bar for over a year now, and they're both fantastic!!!
A word of warning MacK, the clear tubing from b&Q or halfrauds isn't UV resistant at all. - it'll be fine for a bit, but sunlight will make it crack as it looses its flexibility. - with the Citroen wash bar I only have a 6" run of this tubing, so i covered it in Heat-shrink.
Good on you all for going the DIY route!
the other mod which really is a MUST for S1s and early S2s is changing the mirror for a daewoo one, though. - I put a bit in the selock wiki about this as well..

Just changed the relay on mine - what a difference - and all for £1.18
I've also got a new peugeot spraybar if anyone wants it? Cost me £7 - yours for a pint!
It doesn't work with this type of wiper blade --
