OK,
so If I wanted to change my Lotus Sport Stage 2 for a 2ubular Ultra - would I have to remove the rear clam, or could i just drop the diffuser, rear undertray and the number plate panel and work on the exhaust from there?
Is there anything else to be aware of - rusty nuts

, or anything?

Just the undertray as far as I know on the s2. Rusty nuts may be a problem...

An angle grinder is your friend.
You might have to bodge the diffuser a bit, again the angle grinder will help.
Is there anything that cant be fixed by angle grinders
