Cheers Guys.

Agree Peter, need to get a few shots together but not too close as it may show up a mis mach in my Pikey Piant. I don't think it looks Burnt Orange in the pics but it does in the flesh. Its in a dark workshop.

I will replace the hose sometime over the next month. I have far too many shinny bits to bolt back together.

Andy, Think you will be surprised how quick it comes together. Will try for the weekend but i won't be cutting corners for the sake of a road run.

Cheers
Alan

Update on the car:

The painter finished painting it on Tuesday and started polishing it on Tuesday into Wednesday. Alan was at the painters workshop at 9am sharp on Wednesday to start putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Progress was slow as understandably he wanted to get it right first time. After 14 hours of solid working, he decided to call it a day so came home, had a sleep and I dropped him off at 7am for day two. At 10pm tonight, again working without any breaks, it was time to go home. He came in, ate a pizza, had a shower and is now chilling out so I thought Id post some pics of the progress so far.

We are over the moon with the whole car. Totally the right colour for our tastes and the painters have done an outstanding job. Their work is so good, as you will be able to tell from the pictures. They are also great guys to deal with. Last night, they even gave Alan a key so he could stay as long as he needed to and lock up when he wanted to come home. It also meant he could go in before they did and and get an early start today. Cannot fault them at all.

Today I also got the final bit of our custom exhaust from Jim at 2bular. It was a bit of a saga (not Jims fault, but he came to our rescue :thumbsup ) and if you're reading this Jim, it works perfectly and we wont be bothering you anymore!

Also, thanks to Ali C who came round to help Alan earlier tonight. Much appreciated!! I bet it was worth it to be the 2nd person to sit in those seats though!! (Hope your takeaway was good!)

Alan has still some work to do tomorrow afternoon but hopefully shouldnt take too long and we're hoping to get it MOT'd so he can make the Great North Road Run on Saturday!!

So, the pictures! Hope you enjoy looking at them-cos I certainly do!!

Alan & Jen,

Like many, I've watched this thread with admiration. Well done with all the hard work, it's really coming together into a stunning car in both looks and performance.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Looking forward to seeing it on the roads around the 'Shire.

Cheers

Alex.
