titanium ? and how does it react with aluminium and steel from a corrosion point of view ?
You think I've a titanium tree out the back?

Build up starts tommorow, well I finished off building the steering rack back up todayand got it all nice and lovely. molycoted some of the parts that where left and hadn't been painted/coated in anything else and picked up the wheel bearing. :D

I think I will replace most if not all the bolts just as a matter of course. does anyone know the grade and if Cap Head screws might cause a problem ?

As for the grade of bolt will it make any difference if I use stronger bolts ?
I am prone to going a wee bit OTT with thread locker and I have been thinking about how that will react to the duralac any idea's ?

Oh and the clio is now up and running woo hoo :D:D:D:D:D:D

I would use normal 8.8 bolts because if something is hitting the car hard enough to bend or break a bolt you want the bolt the break first...

What difference will using the molycote make, just protection against the weathering? Just I've a few tins knocking about for other stuff, hadn't considered it for those bits.

I have no idea what it will do as far as I am aware it's a low friction coating I only used it because I had it and felt it was better than nothing, I had dipped some of the parts in altrans to remove the corrosion thinking that it wouldn't remove any of the original coating but it did so I molycoated them all and I will just have to see how it goes.

although I will have to keep an eye on the wheels I am not sure how it will effect the torqueing of the wheel nuts's

Couple of additions

1. does anyone know a really good cleaner for the tub ? I have been embarrased by previous comments.

2. Zero Bump steer kits, I was planning on making my own steering arms and I can't see how these work other than a different mounting method for the rack. can someone explain ?

Please....

Bump steer stuff raises the rack when you lower the ride height, its just 2 metal shims with holes in. I couldn't get the rack bolts out to fit mine, they were far too tight.

what got me thinking was this

So I am guessing to remove bump steer you need the rack level with the steering arm or the pivot point ? :?
