Project V6 Elise
Re: Project V6 Elise
I did yes, a small pilot hole in a tube is not going to affect that bar at all.
Re: Project V6 Elise

cant wait for it to come up to abz to see how it drives.

Re: Project V6 Elise
For the bootlid mod, could you not just use the new stock lid with grilles? Or is its clearance no different?

Re: Project V6 Elise
Sorry Campbell i don't quite understand your question?
Re: Project V6 Elise
When Lotus released the 1.6S and MY11 SC etc, they claimed they re-profiled the bootlid. Just wondered if it would be neater to acquire one of those instead of cutting up the existing. If it makes any difference, of course.

Re: Project V6 Elise
Oh right i see, how much do they usually go for? I have a spare lid now kindly donated by a local Elise owner so that i can get my own V6 version moulded up.

Have to admit it all looks really tight but fantastic
Not sure if it will help but a company in the US did this a while ago and posted up LOTS of detail about it - http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f25/mwr ... ise-88287/

Sorry this is not the same conversion , they fitted a 2gr-fe, this is a 1mz-fe.
I have fitted the 2gr to many cars before and in my opinion it is way too heavy for the Elise
