I did yes, a small pilot hole in a tube is not going to affect that bar at all.

For the bootlid mod, could you not just use the new stock lid with grilles? Or is its clearance no different?

When Lotus released the 1.6S and MY11 SC etc, they claimed they re-profiled the bootlid. Just wondered if it would be neater to acquire one of those instead of cutting up the existing. If it makes any difference, of course.

Oh right i see, how much do they usually go for? I have a spare lid now kindly donated by a local Elise owner so that i can get my own V6 version moulded up.

No idea...I have an S1 and have never had the need for an S2.5 bootlid...yet ;-)

Sorry this is not the same conversion , they fitted a 2gr-fe, this is a 1mz-fe.

I have fitted the 2gr to many cars before and in my opinion it is way too heavy for the Elise
