Feels fantastic. Nice and sharp turn in and loads of confidence into corners.

Thats just a ballhair of my settings now. (i run a bit more camber). Glad you like it. Running less camber as you are will make the car better on the road and calm the slight twitchyness down. It's the front toe out that makes the car turn so precisely and sharp. The camber and the rear toe will give the confidence and feeling of "chuckability" your getting. Too much rear to makes the car feel dead, but also exaggerates lift off oversteer. :thumbsup

I've also got to say Mark is a top guy and really good at geo setup. I've got slightly more camber on the front, between -1 and -1.1 and I think about 2.2 rear. Toe was about 0.5mm out at the front, can't remember what it was at the rear. He also adjusted the castor to ensure that the car doesn't pull left anymore :D

I thought it felt light at the front at first but a few miles later coming over the cairn I started pushing it and it felt really solid.

Looking forward to KH on Saturday to try it out :)

As Rich said, Mark is very good at explaining everything to you. It makes you very comfortable with what he's doing and helps you understand a bit more about your car if you don't know already.

Highly recommended :thumbsup

That was the plan :thumbsup thanks for the help!

It's also the settings we (Well he!) got with the removal of a thin (1mm) shim from each corner. seemed to give -.5 deg per mm or so. Figured that -1.4 on the front may chew my tyres a bit too much and the rears were similar, didn't fancy -2.6 on the rears! Mark suggested that I start on the softer side and adjust later if required.

Corner weighting was within 9kg on the front and 12kg on the rear (Bias towards my lardy frame) Close enough for government work. Caster was a bit wonky, 3.7L 3.4 right but within tolerance (And time limits!) not noticed a difference L to R though

I think the castor is always a bit more on the left than the right to make sure the car tends to aim for the kerb when you have a heart attack!

How much difference there is side-to-side depends on whether your car was built before or after lunch :-)

I actually can't get any more negative camber without lowering the car. I've got 1 shim in the right hand side and none in the left so that's my limit!

Mine was built after lunch,
on a friday,
before Christmas,
before the guys working on my car got sacked for being useless buggers!

But I thought they were all like that?

There was a guy here who was a Lotus tech (Got a certificate too!) He fessed up to a few shortcuts they all took when building them.... Especially the copious abuse of and improper fixing of crappy plastic fasteners, Duct tape and rawl nuts.

I thought you worked with jet engines - must know a few short cuts yourself

There's a chap at my work (Calum Hume) whose a race engineer with the Legends at weekends and has the full geo rig with corner weights at his farm. I've had a few discussions with him about doing the geo on elises 8)

On various boats over the last few weeks (work!), and just generally been really busy since the winter so I've totally fallen behind on the fori front :( Good to see this place really thriving though!! 8)
